Though Deane torments Flare with overwhelming power, she refrains from killing her. Deane is revealed to be Sailor Aquas, who once sealed Belulu away by sacrificing herself. As the battle unfolds, Belulu's magic dissolves and Aquas returns to her original form. But this time, Flare is corrupted by Belulu's dark power and transformed into the demon warrior Salama.
