She was raised in the Queens, New York neighborhood, in a mixed Catholic and Muslim family. Griffith entered the adult industry in 2013 after she had just turned eighteen with the intention of doing just a single scene. However, she decided to stay in the industry owing to the pay that it offers and owing to the fact that it involves sex, which she has stated that she loves.[5] Her entry into the industry prompted her to move from New York to Los Angeles, California. As to the choice of her stage name, she picked the name “Janice” from the first name of her best friend and “Griffith” from the name of a waitress that she and the best friend once had dinner with.
