Stephen McHattie (born February 3, 1947) is a prolific and acclaimed Canadian character actor known for his distinctively intense screen presence, gaunt features, and extensive body of work spanning over two hundred film, television, and stage credits. Born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, he trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and spent his early career building a formidable reputation in New York theater—earning critical acclaim and off-Broadway awards in productions like Ghetto and Mensch Meier.
