The Tommy Cooper Hour

Tommy adds his touch to the season of goodwill, showing how to cook a duck egg omelette, play snooker with a sand wedge and ride an ostrich.

Meet Marmaduke Marmalade, the puppet who's behind with his tax, Fred the fish and Brigadier Fotherington-Smythe and Kommandant Frizt von Schweinhund, who only have a nose between them.

See 'Sally the Sailor' with Tommy in both parts, a visit to a tailor to have his suit destroyed, an exploding Scout Master and two Adolf Hitlers!

"Hour" (OWR) n. 60 minutes (pl): fixed habitual time for work, etc; Tommy's hour, though, is a 'Fixed Habitual Time' foe laughter, magic and fun!

Tommy tries his hand, or to be more precise, his feet, as a dancer in a revived 1940s musical and demonstrates the art of fund-raising.

Tommy offers a masterclass in ventriloquism and plans to show another of his mystery movies (where what he does is a mystery even to him until it happens!)

Tommy and his special guests pull out all the stops to present fun-packed, festive extravaganza for Christmas Day!

See Tommy track down a murderer, drive a van over a steeplechase course, take on a heavyweight boxer, ruin a soul singer's performances, give a new dimension to Frankenstein's Monster and drive a television doctor to the point of tears.
