The competition begins for real. Contestants are paired up to collaborate on their first challenge — and they also face the first elimination.

The teams go head-to-head in a challenge to create unique dishes using traditional ingredients from Taiwan's indigenous cultures.

A format shake-up sees contestants drafted into teams by the last round's top performers, then challenged to create four standout dishes on the spot.
